This Bug's journey has been rather unusual, starting in 1967 when it came out of the factory painted beige, before being sold in Southwest France. A priest then enjoyed driving it daily for many years. After retiring, he sold it to Nicolas, who runs a VW shop simply called Speed Shop, located near the city of Toulouse.
At the same time, a 17-year-old Jérôme Garcia became acquainted with VWs, with a preference for California Look rides created by the DKP car club. In 2010, Jérôme took the leap and bought Nico's ‘67, who had already given it a Cal Look treatment. As a big plus, the car came with a stack of original documents, such as the order form, sales contract, and service records.
