ALMOST three years ago, I did a photoshoot with Sfiso Ncwane and his beautiful wife, Ayanda. It was a family shoot but it was very clear that there was animosity between Sfiso’s mom and Ayanda. SOUTH AFRICA’S education system is often criticised for its difficulty and increasing workload, but improving the standard of education in SA is not a simple matter. With that, the Government has implemented a number of measures intended to assist teachers and learners, but at least one initiative – the Annual National Assessments (ANA) – has come under scrutiny for doing the opposite.
