The 2016 Castlemaine Truck Show proved once again why it is the premier Victorian truck event. Held at the Campbell Creek Recreation Reserve on November 19-20, the show attracted a wide variety of brand new, customised, working and vintage trucks. One of the beauties of the show is its laidback atmosphere, with many arriving on Friday afternoon and evening and setting up camp for the weekend. It’s a friendly and welcoming crowd with many regulars that attend year after year. CLASSIC TRUCKS AT BROADFORD

The Historic Commercial Vehicle Club (HCVC) is organising the event with support from Mitchell Shire Council and assistance from local residents including Archie Baines, Annette Chapman and Ashley Chapman. Archie encourages owners of classic trucks, cars, motorbikes, tractors and other vehicles to exhibit their machines at the static display. Exhibits must be at least 25 years old. A dinner dance at Broadford Shire Hall on Saturday night, February 18, will be a highlight of the new event.
