A DISTRAUGHT mom says armed thugs stormed into her home and shot her matriculant son and neighbour dead. On Thursday, the suspects, who were in a white Kia vehicle, went into the H-Section house in Lingelethu West, manhandled neighbour Odwa Tom, 21, and told the residents to lie on the floor. Matriculant Mihlali Funde, 18, was in his room studying when he heard the commotion in the lounge. When he went to see what was going on, he was shot dead while trying to flee from the suspects.
