After another year of giving to those in need, the Daily News Milk Fund (DNMF) initiative is currently wrapping up the year with some Christmas cheer by distributing milk and porridge supplies to over 100 beneficiaries. Caring for communities has been the way to go for the fund since 1935 and in that time the initiative has reached out to vetted crèches, pre-school and welfare organisations across KZN with milk and essential food items. Gauteng High Court Judge Portia Dipuo Phahlane yesterday appeared in court on allegations she accepted a bribe worth millions of rand in a long-running church leadership dispute. Phahlane was released on R50 000 bail alongside her son, Kagiso Phahlane. Her two co-accused, International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) leader Michael Sandlana and Vusi Ndala, are expected to later apply for bail.
