We drop anchor somewhere in Loch na Droma Buidhe on the first night on board Glen Shiel. I am contemplating a cheese board that could grace a Michelin-starred restaurant. There’s everything from Camembert to Crottin and Roquefort to Reblochon, all meticulously selected to satisfy the most discerning palate. My last cruise was with Viking to the Caribbean. My sister and I went together simply to lift our spirits. We kayaked, snorkelled with turtles and went on the most brilliant catamaran party trip. My favourite memory was when our crew chose a beach for lunch and we all swam out to it, floating the cooler boxes (with rum punches) with us as we swam. Everyone was so friendly.
