With its spectacular, sweeping vistas, towering mountains, wide glaciers and deep forests, Alaska is home to some of the worldʼs most extraordinary wildlife. Black, brown and polar bears, as well as caribou and bison, all roam this striking landscape, which is why you named it Best Worldwide Destination in the British Cruise Awards 2018. The region was, for thousands of years, occupied by numerous indigenous peoples before it was colonised by Russia in the 17th century.
