BUNDANOON NSW The approach to Osborn House – a long, curving drive lined with tall conifers – is the first sign that a night or two here will lift you out of everyday worries. And walking into the grand home, first built in 1892, confirms it: the cosy, comfortable interiors have an eclectic, English country-house feel, and for very good reason – they were created by Linda Boronkay, the former design director at Soho House.
As you’d expect, every space has been carefully considered, from the magical trellised walkway leading to the entrance, to the traditional reception desk with its wall of leather-tasselled keys, and the delightfully comfortable chairs surrounding the flickering fireplace in George’s Bar.
