BUG SPRAY
The most toxic ingredient in many bug sprays is DEET, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea. If your dog mistakenly gets sprayed with a DEET formula, bathe your dog right away with dish soap. Ingestion of anything with a DEET concentration higher than 80 percent can cause more severe symptoms, like lack of coordination, trembling, seizures, and disorientation.
WHEN TO CALL THE VET:
For high concentrations, seek care right away. For smaller, monitor closely; call if vomiting or diarrhea persist.
