A Marx Gayle vintage from Sindy black doll 1978, in near mint condition with box, did well at Vectis, netting £514 for its owner. Alongside this, a Tonner Sindy Summer Fun doll with blonde hair, again near mint and boxed, reached £317, considerably above its £120 upper estimate.
In a separate sale, it was the turn of the diecasts, with a Dinky 194 Bentley Coupe (South African issue) in drab pale green, with a dark red interior and black tonneau, raising eyebrows. In superb condition and with a correct South Africa box, this overseas oddity made £1,347.
