“Good,” says Yo. “Harold’s up.”
“He slept in his cage all day, like always,” says Jennifer. “Now he’s running in his ball. He ran in his exercise wheel too. Hamsters like lots of exercise.”
“Come on, Harold,” says Jennifer. “Say hi to Yo before you go back in your cage. I gave you fresh wood shavings for hiding in and new cotton for making a nest.”
“He’s going for his water bottle,” says Yo. “Running always makes me thirsty too.”
“Here’s your food, Harold,” says Jennifer. “Yummy seeds with bits of dried vegetables.”
“You’ve lived here one whole week,” says Jennifer, “so I got you a new toy to celebrate. See if you can figure it out.”
“There he goes,” says Yo. “I think Harold really likes his new home.”…
