Another way to make flowers last is to press them flat. Flowers with thin petals—such as poppies and pansies—work best. Don’t pick your flowers when they’re damp or wet. Choose a dry, sunny day to collect your blossoms. Lay a sheet of white printer paper onto an open page of a heavy book. Arrange your flowers on the paper. They should not touch one another.
