Classic Car Auctions’ final sale under its familiar CCA branding took place at Stoneleigh Park on September 28, with a superb mix of time-capsule classics, sporting icons and cars with celebrity provenance going under the hammer. In all, there were 154 entries, and while many remained unsold at the time of writing, there were plenty of success stories.
Starting with low-mileage cars, a 1988 Bertone-built Fiat X1/9 showing 14,170 miles sold for an impressive £12,938, reflecting its excellent condition throughout. In addition, a 1995 BMW M3 Convertible in Daytona Violet that had covered a mere 18,990 miles proved to be one of the stars of the auction as it beat its £20,000-£25,000 guide to make £37,687, while a 2002 of 1975 vintage showing 58,615 miles topped its £16,000-£20,000 estimate en…
