A 1989 Audi Ur Quattro 2.2 Turbo 20V that was originally an Audi UK press car has been sold at auction for more than £16,000 above its lower estimate.
G690 GNV is known to have featured in a head-to-head test alongside a Lancia Delta Integrale in the February 1990 issue of Fast Lane magazine. Of the five Audi UK press cars, only this car and G688 GNV are known to still exist. The car was guided at £40,000-£45,000, but after much pre-sale interest, it settled on a healthy £56,250.
