FIVA (the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens, or international federation of historic vehicles) has revealed the names of nine car designers, engineers, drivers and collectors who will be added to its Heritage Hall of Fame. It is the third year that FIVA has operated the scheme, which celebrates historically significant work in the world of motoring. Two dozen individuals were nominated by FIVA’s clubs around the world, before an international judging panel whittled that number down to nine.
This year’s names include TV’s Jay Leno, Robert Lutz (former General Motors, BMW, Ford and Chrysler executive), rally driver Michèle Mouton, Zagato’s Ercole Spada, Italian engineer Giampaolo Dallara, Mexican motor museum founder Carlos L. Dorantes del Rosal, designer Nuccio Bertone (pictured), Indian classic car collector Pranlal Bhogilal, and Swedish engineer Per Gillbrand.…
