It’s always good to see our mainland European readers enjoying Classic Car Buyer and making contact, just like Horst Frank did in reference to the Classic Scenes published in our March 29 issue. Horst, from Bremen in Germany, was able to identify some more vehicles pictured during a late 1960s traffic jam in Klagenfurt, Austria.
“In the first line the two cars behind the Beetle with the trailer are Ford Taunus 15Ms, comparable in size with the British Cortina, but with V4-engines and front-wheel drive,” writes Horst. “The car behind the Peugeot 204 in the second row is their larger “brother”, a Ford Taunus 17M P5, followed by its predecessor, the Taunus 17M P3 (nicknamed ‘Badewanne’, or bathtub, due to the bold curvy design).
