This photograph of Doncaster North Bus Station dates from 1967, when its new multi-storey car park was providing improved parking facilities for the town. The structure was to last just forty years, however, with both the bus station and car park being redeveloped in 2007 to include an extension to the Frenchgate Shopping Centre, extra parking facilities and an updated bus terminus
There was a fascinating array of cars parked 55 years ago, including (from left to right) an Austin 1100, Ford 300E van, Wolseley 1500, Zephyr Mk4, Rover 3-Litre, Zodiac Mk3, Cortina Mk1, Morris Minor Series 2, Vauxhall Viva HA, early Mini and an Austin A40 Mk2.
