H&H Classics returned to the Imperial War Museum in Duxford on October 14 for its first public-facing sale since lockdown. An eclectic mix of 84 vehicles went under the hammer, ranging from the famous 1927 MG 14/40 ‘Old Speckled un’ – yep, the one that had the Old Speckled Hen beer named after it – through to a 2016 Jaguar F-Type Project 7, which was one of just 250 made.
The F-Type sold for £99,000, but it wasn’t the only impressive performer. The headliner was a 1934 Lagonda M45 Rapide Tourer at £191,250, but a 1933 Rolls-Royce 20/25 Coupe by Freestone and Webb also did exceptionally well to sell for £78,750 against a £35,000-£45,000 guide.
