Former Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke’s book, All Rise, gives readers insights into how he dealt with big controversies in his life as a judge, including being accused of spying, being overlooked for a promotion and his remarks that judges don’t owe loyalty to the governing party, a comment that rankled the ANC.
Moseneke retired as a judge in 2016, and published My Own Liberator in the same year. In that book, he recounted his life journey, including his activities as a PAC member, life on Robben Island and how he ended up becoming a judge.
