Crystal fact Zoisite
This stunning crystal comes in shades of pink, green, blue and black, often with streaks of ruby.
It was first discovered in the Saualpe mountains in Austria by mineral dealer Simon Presern in 1805. He presented a sample to mineralogist, Sigmund Zois after whom it was named.
There are three members in the Zoisite family – tanzanite, thulite and anyolite, with tanzanite being the most well known and very popular with jewellers.
Use this gem for happiness and to encourage empathy with others.
It’s found in India, Zambia, Tanzania, Norway, Australia and Namibia.
