It's not unusual for superyacht designers to take creative inspiration from a client's private residence, which provides a deeper understanding of a family's taste and lifestyle preferences than a series of conversations ever can. Yet Giorgio M Cassetta of Cassetta Yacht Designers didn't find his design inspiration in the homes of this yacht's owners. Everyone feared the worst after the announcement of President Trump's infamous “Liberation Day” tariffs in April. But now the dust has settled after the September boat shows and the yachting industry is undeniably seeing light at the end of the tunnel. “It's been challenging because of the tariffs,” Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi admits. “The month of April was not easy, [but] the month of May was very good.
