Seven Purple Tigers are an unlikely band. Not because of their music - if anything, they’re sonically symbiotic - but because of their geographical locations. Austin Horn is a Grand Rapids, Michigan native, while Philip Dyszy hails from the fairytale town of Freiburg, Germany, in the gothic Black Forest. After a chance meeting in the old town of Krakow, Poland in 2015, the duo struck up a musical friendship that would lead to the formation of Seven Purple Tigers. The town provided an abundance of inspiration for the musicians, its heavily creative and authentic community igniting a spark within them. How much does it mean to start the season at the Amex? It’s going to be absolutely brilliant and we can’t wait. The best thing will be to see all our fans again. We had a couple of games last season when they were allowed back and that was great, but this feels special. We have a really loyal group of supporters and we love interacting with them after the games. It’s great to see so many youngsters coming to watch us as well, and hopefully it gets them into playing football too. HUTCH Hutch explore elaborate universes with a mixture of soft-psych and experimentalism, taking influence from beat music, disco and the kind of melodies whose origins lie firmly in the 1960s. Right from the start I was greeted by friendly staff who saw me in, and then very loosely and lightly asked for my tickets whilst also giving me a short introduction to the night. This may seem of little relevance, but when talking about a show that relies heavily on easy interactions with the crowd, feeling welcome and receiving smiles throughout goes a long way towards creating the right atmosphere.
