PLANT NOW
In each issue we give ideas, tips and planting advice for cooler, warmer, wetter and drier areas in each zone, so ask at your local nursery which zone best matches your conditions.
FLOWERS
All zones: Ageratum, alyssum, cyclamen, French marigold, gypsophila (left), Iceland poppy, lobelia, nigella and polyanthus.
Zones 1-3: African marigold, celosia, coleus, gerbera, salvia and sunflower (left).
Zones 4-6: Cornflower, dianthus, everlasting daisy, hollyhock, statice, stock and sweetpea.
VEGETABLES
All zones: Beans, beetroot, broccoli, carrot, lettuce, radish, spring onion and zucchini.
Zones 1-3: Capsicum, celery, choko, cucumber, eggplant, globe artichoke (left), leek, pumpkin, squash, sweet corn and tomato.
