Crate expectations
It’s fun choosing a smorgasbord of herbs for a season, even if some will outgrow their temporary home. Here, the Greek basil, curry plant, rosemary and Vietnamese coriander will eventually make sizeable plants that can be repotted or planted in the garden but, until then, they will provide handy snippings for the kitchen. Attracting beneficial insects, the colourful nasturtium and calendula flowers are also edible and appear all summer.
