The first call came less than an hour after Jerry Dipoto quit as Angels general manager, with many more to come over the days that followed.
Essentially, every message was similar to the very first call, from a general manager who said, “the days of the Mike Scioscia managers are a thing of the past. It’s no longer about the manager, it’s about the organizational whole.”
