Indian Super Chief Limited, $32,995 ride away
The Indian Super Chief Limited is the most obvious competitor to the Heritage Classic, and like the Harley it comes with saddlebags, a removable screen, ABS, cruise control, keyless ignition and 16-inch wheels. The Super Chief outguns the Heritage Classic 114 in a few key areas; it runs an 1890cc (116-cubic-inch) V-twin engine (which is no doubt why the MY25 Heritage Classic gets a 117c.i. engine), and second it makes claimed peak torque of 162Nm at 2900rpm (7Nm more than H-D's 114). Notably, it is more affordable, with ride-away pricing starting at $32,995 compared to $38,995 +ORC for the Harley. Having said that, at the time of going to print, we spotted several new Heritage Classics advertised at $33,495 ride away.
