It’s Ford’s equivalent of Porsche’s Carrera Cup, and it’s coming to Australia in 2026.
The Mustang Cup Australia will be held over six rounds and will run as a part of the 2026 SRO SpeedSeries. The Mustang Cup is Ford’s new global one-make series, contested by identical Mustang Dark Horse R models. The Dark Horse R is a specially-developed track-only competition car derived from the road-going Mustang Dark Horse model.
The Dark Horse R featured at the recent Le Mans 24 Hour meeting, with Australian Cameron McLeod winning two Mustang Challenge invitational races support races.
