DESPITE BEING A big guy, I can’t go past the 300 SEF-R as my favourite 2016 Sherco over the 240 and 450 variants, all of which I rode during the recent world launch. While the changes aren’t major, the 2016 Sherco line-up is still a far cry from just new graphics, with new cylinder-head geometry on the 250/300SEF-R, as well as tougher second, third and fourth gears, improved water-pump seals and, of course, new mapping settings.
If you look closely at the 300 SEF-R, you’ll also notice it received a new injector body. It’s designed to return the engine to idle quicker, and reduce the idle speed by 100rpm.
