This sweet vintage pot not only serves a practical purpose, it also keeps a certain kitten out of harm’s way. “I know that sounds crazy,” says its creator, Sarah Ramberg, “but when you have a cat as curious as Cottonball, the need to hide sewing notions, such as pins, is a very real thing.” The pincushion was fitted into the thrift-store teapot lid using a heavy cardboard base, a softball-size clump of fibrefill, a rubber band, vintage fabric and glue.
