Designing a kitchen from concept to creation is a dream gig for every interior designer, and Simon – a busy engineer who lives with his two daughters, Amy, 19, and Sarah, 14, in a new build in a Perth beachside suburb – might just be the ultimate dream client. “My biggest nightmare in building a house was the idea of endless shopping for tiles, paint colours and finishes, because I hate shopping,” says Simon, laughing.
