National Carers Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution that Australia’s 2.65 million unpaid family and friend Carers make to our country. Anyone at any time can become a Carer, and National Carers Week is an opportunity to raise community awareness among all Australians about the diversity of Carers and their caring roles. The theme for this National Carers Week is Millions of Reasons to Care.
Carers are people who provide unpaid care and support to family and friends who live with a disability, mental illness, Dementia, chronic condition, terminal illness, substance misuse or addiction, or who are frail aged.
