Dear Ask, How do black holes suck in light?

All objects with mass (even you!) curve the space around them, like a ball on a rubber sheet. (That’s another way of explaining gravity.) Black holes are so massive that they curve space into a funnel with no bottom. So nothing, not even light, can get out.
I like my holes smaller.
