Within this body of work titled, Destroy; Rebuild, I documented the act of rebuilding myself through the destruction of an unreproducible negative. For the past year, I have felt angry, lost, and unsure of my place in this photography world. I questioned my skills, intentions, and ability to re-establish myself from this feeling of failure. Through this body of work, I wanted to document the release of anger before rebuilding. To create Destroy; Rebuild, I used a 4x5 negative from a past body of work and coated it in ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide through the process of creating a cyanotype on the negative.
