When you want to live on a farm, there’s no better architectural style than a farmhouse. “We weren’t building our dream home just for looks, but to actually live on a farm,” says Nichole Brown, who shares this four-bedroom, 5,295-square-foot farmhouse on 23 acres in Nokesville, Virginia, with her family. She lives there with her husband, Michael, and their children, Emma and William. “When I pictured a home on a farm, it was a white, hardy plank home, with lots of windows and wide-open porches to look out over the fields.”
