Jess says: ‘Linda’s bold and graphic photograph was taken in Calpe, Spain. I was drawn to the abstract nature of this architecture shot. The layout of each block of colour is well composed, with each segment fitting perfectly in the scene, rather like Tetris bricks. She has captured the colour of these building blocks technically very well, with balance seen throughout the image. I particularly enjoy the blue of the sky and strip of blue building at the bottom framing the central walls of the scene, with a hint of blue in the centre to tie everything together.’
