As a collection of ‘fashion greats’, this a superb exhibition. Including 29 photographs which span across ten dacades, some of the big names include Cecil Beaton, Irving Penn, Norman Parkinson, John Swannell and Miles Aldridge – so not just ‘big’ names, but positively supersized.
The exhibition aims to highlight the role that fashion plays in culture, with different styles themselves shaping contemporary culture. Not only are the photographers immediately recognisable but there’s also a host of celebrities and fashion icons featured, including The Beatles, Audrey Hepburn, Twiggy, Kate Moss, Lily Cole and Stormzy.
