The GH4 was notable for being the first mirrorless camera to offer 4K video, along with a much-improved feature set for photographers compared to its predecessor, the GH3. The 16MP MOS sensor, partnered with a Venus Engine IX processor, delivered a boost in sensitivity (ISO 200-25,600, extendable to ISO 100), along with improved colour reproduction, autofocus accuracy, and processing speeds. As a pro-level video camera, it records in Cinema 4K (4096x2160) or standard 4K-UHD (3840x2160) using IPB compression at 100 Mb/s. Other features include a weather- and dust-resistant body, a shutter that’s tested to 200,000 actuations, and a battery life of 500 shots per charge.
