It’s a small shoulder bag with a removable ‘tech pouch’ on the front. It can be used in three ways, either with both parts attached together, or each on its own. Looking first at the main bag, this is a nicely styled and fairly conventional design that’s ideal for carrying a mirrorless camera and three or four lenses. For example, I was able to fit in a Fujifilm X-T5 with 16-80mm zoom attached, plus 10-24mm and 70-300mm zooms alongside. When was the club founded? 1926. What does your club offer to new members? We offer support and 1:1 mentoring to new members along with practical evenings and trips out. Describe a typical club meeting The club meets weekly from September to April. We usually meet at 7pm for a 7:15 start where the club president will discuss any upcoming events and introduce the guest speaker or judge. The weekly meetings are a mix of guest speakers, regular competitions for members and practical evenings. Since 1985 the Kraszna-Krausz Book Awards have recognised individuals that make an outstanding original or lasting educational, professional, historical and cultural contribution to literature concerning photography or the moving image. Two winning titles are selected – one in photography; the other, in moving image (including film, television and digital media). The D7500 entered Nikon’s DSLR lineup in early 2017. It succeeded the D7200 from 2015, borrowing the 20.9MP CMOS sensor and EXPEED 5 image processor from the more expensive D500. Lenses Interchangeable lenses come in a huge array of types for shooting different kinds of subjects IN GENERAL, the easiest way to expand the kinds of pictures you can take is by buying different types of lenses. For example, telephoto lenses let you zoom in on distant subjects, while macro lenses enable close-ups of small objects. Large-aperture lenses allow you to isolate subjects against blurred backgrounds, or shoot in low light without having to raise the ISO too high. Meanwhile, all-in-one superzooms cover a wide range of subjects, but usually with rather lower optical quality. Lens mounts On the whole, each manufacturer uses its own proprietary lens mount. While the focus appears to be more on designers, tools for generating backgrounds and enhancing detail have been updated and are now powered by the latest version of Adobe’s AI model, Firefly 3. Amongst the new and updated tools are Generate Image, which allows users to type in a text prompt to get an AI-generated image (this has moved from beta to publicly available). Meanwhile Enhance Detail uses Generative Fill to boost sharpness and detail in large, high-resolution images. I joined 75 years young, American aerial photographer, Donn Delson for what was a truly inspirational and exhilarating flight experience. Prior to photography, Donn built and sold the fourth largest entertainment merchandise business in the world, BandMerch, and represented merchandising for artists like Rihanna, Billy Joel, Alanis Morissette, Outkast, and Linkin Park. Testbench SMARTPHONE TEST It’s always baffled me just how underwhelming Xperia models are. Especially considering Sony makes some of the very best mirrorless cameras and lenses. Last year’s Xperia 1 V was the predecessor to the new VI, and while it was an improvement on the Xperia 1 IV, there were still plenty of faults to find with it. If you are a frequent traveller and currently own a rather bulky DSLR outfit, it could be well worth swapping for a mirrorless system for this summer’s trips. Canon EOS R mirrorless cameras come in two formats. The smaller APS-C format uses a sensor measuring 22.3x14.9mm while the long-established 35mm format measures 36x24mm.
