Every time I look at this picture, it knocks me sideways. Disturbing, disorientating, it forces me to see where I wouldn’t necessarily choose to look.
David was blinded by a freak accident, and since the death of his mother Eugene, has lived alone. When David goes out, he is often abused by people he can’t see, so he’s afraid to go shopping, frightened to leave the house.
