7 daysA week in photography SIGMA has announced the 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | Sports telephoto zoom for L-mount and Sony E-mount. Aimed at sports, wildlife, and wedding photographers, it completes the firm’s f/2.8 trio for full-frame mirrorless cameras, alongside the existing 14-24mm and 24-70mm lenses.
The new lens employs dual HLA (Highresponse Linear Actuator) motors to drive a floating focus system. Two optical groups, each with its own HLA motor, move in opposite directions, meaning each has to move a shorter distance. This enables it to deliver fast, accurate and near-silent autofocus even for challenging fast-action subjects, according to Sigma.
