NIKON UK has announced the death of Harry Collins, the founder of the British arm of the Japanese camera giant.
Harry Collins, known to many in the industry as ‘Mr Nikon’, set up Nikon UK with the support of Nikon Switzerland in 1979. Responsible for the establishment of the brand in the UK at that time, he was also pivotal in forming sponsorship partnerships with the London Symphony Orchestra, Wimbledon Tennis and The Open Golf.
