The OM-D E-M5’s arrival in 2012 received great interest from photographers looking for a small, light, weather-sealed camera. However, the E-M5 does not feature the 35mm full-frame format of the original OM film cameras. Instead, it makes use of a 16.1MP Four Thirds (17.3x13mm) sensor that has an ISO range of 200-12,800 (extendable to 100-25,600). Other features to note are its 5-axis in-body image stabilisation, a 1.44-million-dot EVF, 3in 610,000-dot tilting LCD screen, 9fps burst shooting, 35-point AF system with touch focus, face and eye detection as well as 24 scene modes and 11 art filters. Powered by a BLN-1 battery, it manages 330 shots on a single charge, but lacks either 4K video or built-in Wi-Fi.
