I keep being told, by certain people, that my chosen software is holding me back. So, I was intrigued by James Paterson’s Gold blend article. I realised that, with the exception of selections, all of the ‘technique’ could have been achieved in my copy of Photo RAW 2020.5.1.
Perhaps oddly, Photo RAW does not have any ‘selection tools’, but it does have the necessary masking tools. However, to do the same as James Paterson in Photo RAW, it would just be a matter of opening the raw files as layers, then using one of the many masking tools to select/ mask the sky.
Then, the tools in the Develop module, the filters in the Effects module, and the Local Adjustments, could all be used to further tone and refine and…
