THE ORGANISERS of Photo North are inviting all students taking part in lens-based courses (either in the UK or abroad) to submit entries for its Student Competition.
This year the photo competition invites students to explore what family means to them. The organisers say, ‘Your project may want to explore what brings families together: a place, a birth, birthday, parenthood, pets, weddings, memories, holidays, funerals, illness, graduation, food and traditions. Or you may want to explore what divides a family and causes tension and conflict.'
You can shoot with digital or analogue, and any kind of genre – or mix of genres. The competition is free to all students, with entrants also gaining free entry into the Photo North festival which takes place this November.
