Once the lights go out, the strange and exaggerated architecture begins to take on the aura of something more sinister. Stefano Cerio has visited a variety of locations, including children's parks, and shot them in the pitch-black night using artificial light. The flash-drenched images reveal the locations as surreal landscapes. The white light and shadows warp and contort the structures, and at times make them appear otherworldly. While the use of flash is understandable, it would have been interesting to see what Cerio could have done…
