LIKE many gardeners, I never like to throw plants away.
I don’t mind splashing out a bit on container displays, as the plants are transplanted into the garden once they’ve outgrown the pot. Now my spring bedding is coming to an end, the violas, primulas, muscari, daffodils and tulips are lifted and plunged into a spare patch to come back next year.
