Small changes for wildlife
I READ the letter from Alan Wheeldon (AG, 25 June), and just felt I needed to make a comment.
I didn’t see the garden at Chelsea but my observation would lead me to think they were showing the whole garden effect. You don’t have to do that, you can take just small areas in your garden and leave it wilder. For example, plant nectar-rich flowers for the bees and hoverflies, piles of sticks for bugs, and with the permission of your neighbours, a small hole in the bottom of your fence to allow hedgehogs to pass.
