AT LONG LAST, many of us are finally able to get back out with our air rifles and do what we love. Backyard target shooting is all well and good, and is a great way to refine our combos and brush-up marksmanship, but it did become a bit repetitive after two months solid.
For those of us who shoot live quarry, there is much to be done. Grey squirrels have been left to run riot and there will no doubt be lots of them causing problems in the woods, especially now their spring litters have bolstered unchecked populations. Similarly, crows, magpies, rooks and jackdaws have been treated to an undisturbed breeding season and are likely to have boomed while shooters were locked inside.
