I was watching the morning news and a bit worried about the world when I first saw the spiderweb from my living room window. I reached for my remote, turned off the TV, and went outside for a better look. A spider had built a stunning web between two rocking chairs on our front porch. I'm not a fan of spiders—and this spider was quite large—but its web was a glorious spectacle of gossamer thread shimmering in the light of the rising sun.
