My mom had followed the instructions and purchased a brand-new toy, so when my brother got off the bus holding what he received, a used toy, she was disappointed and a little upset. “Who gave it to you?” she asked. “Andy,” my brother said, holding the worn little car, “Isn’t it great? For God is a thousand times more ready to give than we are to receive.” During this season of giving be ready to share the gifts of grace God has given you. Lord, guide me to give my time, love and energy, so others may know the gift of Your presence.…

Choose to spend your energy only on what you truly love about the season. Check in with God, and ask Him to help you prioritize.
